Merry christmas och God Jul!

Hey everyone. Just though i would give a quick post on this lovely christmas day. Hope everyone is and/or has been enjoying their holidays. My christmas was yesterday as im swedish and celebrate christmas on the 24th. I got a few things like shoes, pants and a beanie i knew i was getting. Also i got my snowboard helmet although ive already used it at the beginning of the month :P The one surprise gift i got that i didnt know for sure if i was getting was a single ring Race Face DH crankset!! SICK. Whenever it arrives ill upload some pictures but for today im too lazy to upload anything ;)

Also im starting to get my bags out to pack for my trip to sweden and germany! SCOREEEE

Cant wait to see my beautiful amazing girlfriend soon :)

Shoes♥

So stoked!! I got my new Vans mountain editions from UPS today and omg I haven't taken them off since I've had them!! SOOOOOO comfortable and sooooo warm. :D



As you can see in the picture they are similar to the halfcab in build, but a little bit more rise on the ankle. Some cool features on this is the usage of a fully gusseted tongue which repels all kinds of water and dirt from entering my shoe. My fav, the brushed pig leather for weather protection (plus it adds a super sick look to the shoe). And the entire shoe is covered in 3m's scotchguard to, you guessed it, repel water and snow!!!

The laces on these bad boys are waxed which adds to the looks a little bit and are supposedly water proof, not that it really makes a difference. You get a super cool, but ultimately functionless, velcro strap on the toe of the laces which i think looks pretty cool which is weird because usually i hate velcro :P


And in this picture above you can see the hunter orange sole. The most notable thing is that the classic waffle patterned sole has been reversed on these to add to the snow title. Each waffle "hole" has been flipped and is now a little "cone" if you will which adds to the shoes ground feel and grip. Also this design will prevent snow and mud from getting all clogged up in the sole when it's really nasty out.

Well there you have it, brown and orange Mountain editions. They are mine!!! >:D

Today i finally did the unthinkable... I completed covering the back of my laptop in bike stickers. It's taken me a couple years to assemble sick bike only stickers that are worthy by my standards to go on the ol laptop. Im pretty satisfied with the final product. What do yall think?

STG!

What's STG? It of course stands for, 'Shredding The Gnar!" Which is what John, Erica and Myself did back on december 5th. For early season conditions it was pretty decent, nothing spectacular but still fun. First time riding my new set-up and it hooked up really well. Looking forward to some more powder later on in the season hopefully!

Spray painting

This is a speed painting i did in art this morning with some spray paint. Basically just used rip paper to get some edges on the "mountains" and a bottle cap to get that red circle above to left mountain. Took me about 1 min to make this. Super basic. But oh so fun ;)

Life Cycles recap.

Oh my gosh. I can die happy now after seeing that movie. IT WAS EPIC! So basically i woke up this morning and it began to snow which was rad. Then around 12 or so my dad and i left for the small town of North Bend where the movie would premiere. We got there around 1 and just chilled around the town, got some lunch at the North Bend Bar and Grill which was pretty good. Then around 3.30 we went inside the theater and just hung out with some of the dirt corp riders. They had done some snow DH before coming there and were rocking some pretty sick bikes (see below)

And a nice Session 88, also fresh out of the snowy trails.

So before the movie there was a huge raffle of tons of bike stuff from gloves, helmets and jerseys to energy bars to forks and wheels. It was sick. I ended up winning a pair of Fox riding gloves which i gave to my sister, a diamondback tee, and 10 boxes of Clif Bars. a $240 value!!! WIN!

Im soooooooooooo stoked for this movie to come out. Im going to the premiere tomorrow night down by Snoqualmie. Its going to be soooo SICK!!!! I've been waiting for this to come out for the last two years and i cant believe i finally get to see it tomorrow >:D

Quiz of the day!

This morning was beautiful and lots of sun, so I decided to go riding. It was amazing! SOOOOO much mud on the trails made for enormous amounts of fun, I found a new side of the state park which has WAY better trails than the area i have been riding, and on top of that all i found a riding group finally who meet up to ride those trails every saturday morning... SCORE!

Anyway, heres the quiz of the day;

Teaching people about graffiti and stencils in art club at the moment. I cut this stencil out the other morning and sprayed the front of my book real quick. White base coat with a fluorescent orange on top.

I love my job

So today at work was pretty awesome. I love my job. From crab fights, craig trying to rip off Joe's nipple, beanie basketball, penny fights and a photo shoot, we had lots of fun. By the way, all of that happened during the last hour we were open since it was so slow. Joe went and bought a sheep pelt for his baby daughters crib to help keep her the right temperature when she sleeps. When he brought this back to the store Craig snatched it and had me give him one of our new fleece shoes to model with, playgirl magazine, if you see this Craig wants in.

After school ride

After school today i decided to start my 4 day weekend off with some mountain biking. So i went up to St. Edwards state park which is like 3 minutes away and rode tons of XC and DH trails. I had one pretty gnarly crash that sent me off the trail into some bushes and a tree but im uninjured (somehow?!? :P) Super fun, plenty of mud too which was amazingly fun. Check some pics from the ride...

They call me... the lurker.

So i was cruising around the bike sites the other night and stumbled across this beauty, the Gran Royale Lurker. Its a single speed bike. Can be set up as either a fixed gear or a free wheel. Im asking for money for xmas and my birthday so i can buy this bike to use as my commuter now and for when i go off to college. Ill also probably get more into fixie style tricks when i get it too. Def have to go with the creeper black on black so i can lurk efficiently ;))

Jazz left today :((( But that means that i can start counting down the days until im in sweden again to see her and other friends too ;)) (which is 51 days just for the record)

And as the colder breezes are blowing in through my window i realize just how much jazz means to me :) Im lying in my bed veggin out with my computer and im waiting for her to rest her head on my shoulder or tell me to turn my computer off or ask if i want to watch americas next top model or something like that. Basically this last week went by WAY faster than it was supposed to...

Some of the things we did were a college visit, shopping, shopping, walking around downtown, shopped, celebrated my moms 46 birthday, shopped, i took my final SAT, and I took jazzy to dinner in the Space Needle which was SUPER nice :))

I cant wait to see her more♥ 3 taps alskling♥♥♥

WAZZZZZUUUUUPPPPPPPP

Hey guys, sorry its been a while since my last post ive been busy ;)
My beautiful girlfriend jazzy flew into town on Friday.. WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO And then on saturday i went up north to Bellingham to visit Western Washington University, which by the way is super cool and in an excellent location ;) A top contender... Anyway

Sunday was Halloween and i spent most of my day shopping with Jazzy and my little sister meghan in an outdoor mall that is half indoors as well. Lots of cool stores, the aftermath:

Meghan: spent $6.95
Kristian: spent $52.50
Jazzy: spent $170.75 :PPP

And most of that was in makeup :P more on her visit to come soon ;) Hopefully upload some cute pics :D

Homecoming....

I went to my first and last highschool homecoming dance last night, boy am i happy i only ever had to go to one :P lol. It was fun because i got to dance and people around me thought i was a good dancer xD That tells you right away how retarded White this dance was... im pretty sure i saw at least 5 people doing the lawnmower to lil john *-*..... Anyway i still had enough fun for the $23 ticket to be worth it. God do i miss Swedish parties :P

Sorry ive been doing a half ass job at posting this week. I've been busy ironing out some wrinkles in my school's art club after school each day. Basically ive done nothing new, did some dirt jumping at my friends house and other than that... bought myself a new snow jacket yesterday... Hoefully upload some pics soon ;)

GOT MY BOARD!!!

Hey guys, I'm soooooo stoked right now! Just finished unwrapping my new ROME Artifact 1985! The board is SO sick looking and is also super sick construction wise. Im digging the graphics and I'll be sure to put up more pictures later on when i get the bindings all set up ;)

Snowboard info...

So earlier this week when i went in to pick up my handlebars and stem, i was just bumming it around the shop as usual and cruised over to check for my snowboard, which i had planned on buying tomorrow. Guess what? SOMEONE BOUGHT IT :((( Thats the second board down at the shop that i have picked out and someone bought it like 2 days before i was going to, dammit. Good news is i scoured the world wide web for about 3 hours calling places from the West Coast all the way over to Europe in order to find that Rome artifact 1985 156cm board (the one with snakes ;]) And after a 3 hour hunt i literally found ONE board in stock somewhere down in socal, so i ordered it!!! SCOREE!!!! Online said an estimated 3 business days to ship here so im hoping if im super lucky that my snowboard will arrive tomorrow :)))) And as soon as it does you can definitely expect some pictures up here :D

Unfortunately this was not the best FUZE i have ever drank. The flavor was really sharp and a little too bitter for me, plus it wasnt as nice and "smoothy-esque" as the peach mango flavor was. Damn i hope my school brings back those peach mango ones D:

NITRANE BINDINGS!!!!

Hey all, im totally stoked right now. I've been setting up my new bindings and just making sure there ready for the season to come. I included some front and back view pictures and im in the process of uploading a short time lapse video ;)

New board!!!!

Hey whats going on?? Just wanted to pop this picture of my, soon-to-be, new snowboard up here for yall to see. It's called the Artifact 156, made by the company ROME. This board is suppperrrr sick, tons of sweet tech bits in it. The board's construction is whats called rockered, which mean when it lays flat on the ground the middle of the board will be the only thing touching, the nose and tail with have the slightest amount of rise. Also instead of steel edges this board has bronze edges which means 2 thing; 1)the edges will never rust & 2) I wont have to ever sharpen my edges during the season (SCOREEEE) plus the bronze looks super sick.

I should be buying my buddies bindings off of him on monday or some time around then so I'll be sure to post those up here when i get them, also my new purple handlebars come in on monday so more on that ;) Should have a short video show-n-tell of my snowboard and bindings up here by next saturday hopefully :)

P.S. the left picture is the top graphic of the board and the snake on top actually has a golden tooth. PIMPIN

Best drink ever? I think so...

I bought this from one of my school's vending machines this morning, totally refreshing, totally healthy and TOTALLY delicious ♥ I would highly recommend this drink to anyone who is in the states and/or is able to find FUZE where ever you are in the world :) Going biking at Dawson's backyard dirtjumps after school tomorrow... soooo stoked! Knock on wood i dont put up a picture of any cast on Thursday ;)

Best way to hit a jump? Take some advil and charge it!!! >:D

Josef Albers

Josef Albers is a German born artist from 1888 up until 1976. He taught art and design at an important art institute in Germany called Bauhaus. In the 1930's he immigrated to the U.S. where he carried out research on color relations and would often write on the back of his painting's what he'd done, how he'd done it and what types of mathematical formula's he used to do it. He was obsessed with quadrilaterals, squares in particular. I am researching him for a page in my Visual Arts book. Check out some of his work here.

NEW components!!!

Hey I just got my pay check yesterday and decided im buying new bars and a new stem for my bike.. I figured I'd post the color choices of the bars because i can't decide :P Leave a comment on which ones you like from the colors (top to bottom they are; anodized blue, dark green, pimp gold, red, orange, purple and anodized black) in the above picture ;) ...

and then im definitely getting the Race Face respond stem in black (top picture)

MEGA SHOE!!!!

Ok so I've been wanting to flaunt this to the world for a while... I work at a Vans store in Northgate Mall. One day when i was drinking some root beer in the stock room i looked over to notice a mega sized 106vulc shoe in a box... I HAD to try that sucker on ;)

Turns out that it is one of our new store props and is to promote the Custom Shoe builder we have on our website. The shoe in the picture is a 106 vulcanized and it's out because it was just recently added to the customizable fleet of shoes (which includes; era's, old skools, classic slip-ons and now the 106)

Vans Downtown Throwdown...

I just got word of the downtown throwdown for 2010!!!

Basically its a super sick rail jam session that takes place in downtown Seattle. It's a competition between pro and am snowboarders so the tension between the underdog's and the legends should be sick. It's supposed to be going down on Oct. 10th so more on this later... ;)
